• Mix and match textures and fits
Wear complimentary fitting clothes. Avoid REALLY baggy and wrinkled clothes. You feel better. You look better. Don't wear clothes that are too tight and don't feel comfortable. Mix different textures and layers. Jessie wore a lace cardigan matched with a fitted black tank top. The lacy cardigan had beautiful embroidery details that added such beauty in the photos. Boys could wear a long sleeve flannel or plaid with a solid color vest. Don't be afraid to try new things and mix up your wardrobe.
If you plan for your senior shoot to last more than 30 minutes, you’re likely to have the opportunity to do an outfit change or two in your session. My rule of thumb is one outfit for every 30 minutes in front of the camera. Make sure you neatly pack those outfits away (maybe consider that garment bag again!), including jewelry and other accessories you want to wear.
I encourage you to curate a wardrobe full of variety. Change up the style of outfit you wear--make a mix of dresses, pants, shorts, skirts, jeans... a little bit of everything! Also include a mix of colors and even materials and textures to maximize the variety you can get out of your entire session. The more variety you have, the more images it will look like you have because you won't be repeating the same thing over and over again. Rompers and jumpsuits are great and super comfy idea.
